The state government of North Rhine-Westphalia has decided to cover GEMA fees for clubs and volunteer organizations. Around 33,500 clubs in NRW will benefit from this regulation going forward. The measure aims to strengthen volunteering and reduce administrative burdens.

Langenfeld sports clubs, cultural groups, and leisure organizations can take advantage of the new flat-rate rule. The city of Langenfeld has already announced that it will inform affected clubs about the exact application procedures.

The event area must not exceed 500 square meters. Larger events must still be billed individually. The official seat of the club must be in NRW.
