Langenfeld on 3 October 2026
The extended water extraction ban from Kreis Mettmann applies in Langenfeld. An asset manager signed a lease for a new multibrand store.
On 3 October 2026 the water extraction ban remains in force across Kreis Mettmann and therefore in Langenfeld.
Water extraction ban
Kreis Mettmann extended the existing ban until 31 October 2026. The rule covers the entire district area. It applies equally in Langenfeld, Haan, Hilden and Monheim. Persistent low water levels in local waterways despite rainfall prompted the decision. (https://deinhilden.de/trotz-regen-in-den-gewaessern-fehlt-weiterhin-wasser(öffnet in neuem Tab))
